Hello Debra and John,

I just wanted to send best wishes and a big “Thank You” once again for Lucy! We just finished our 5th season of duck hunting together and all I can say is “It only gets better each year.” I purchased Lucy as a finished dog from you in 2005 when she was about 17 months old. She never missed a beat from the get go and each year she has consistently gotten better. This year I loaned her out to a couple of members in my club when I was shooting with another member and their dog and each time I was told what an excellent dog she was in both retrieving ability and personality!

She just turned six last week even though she was born on February 29th. I wish I could either turn the clock back or freeze her during the off-season so that she will always be my hunting partner. What a great dog that only gets better each year. Double and triple retrieves (all long) are the norm for her, as well as diving under the water for birds. She lays down low in the blind and is very quiet, but very observant at the same time. Hunting alone is never a problem. By facing her I know she’s “got my back”. Thanks again for giving me a fabulous friend and hunting partner!

All the best,
John Drury

This is Kenai, my 3 year old Hightest Pup. She was sired by Orvis and is a spitting image of him. She weighs about 85 lbs and loves to give kisses. This day she retrieved 28 ducks and 6 specks with no losses. All she wants to do is retrieve and sleep. She is the best dog I have ever had!

Thanks again for your excellent breeding program at Hightest. Tule (Visa's pup born oct 17, 09) is doing great at 18 weeks. He's got his retrieving, whistle commands, and simple hands signals down already. He understands how to tear up my wife's landscape plants, and has learned who the real boss of the house is. I'm excited about getting him on more live birds and into water retrieves as the weather warms up. I'm sure he'll do well. Good luck, and keep up the good work.

Hello Debra,

I would like to share with you and how great your dogs are. Cody is now 8 1/2 years old and still loves to hunt. He is like a pup when he gets to hunt! He has been called "the fastest and strongest dog on the water" by fellow hunters. He not only is a great duck hunter, but he also loves to pheasant hunt as well. He has the best nose and he rarely, if ever, loses a bird! We love him very much, and he is such a part of our family. We have a deposit on another pup coming up in February and can't wait for that new member to our home! Thanks for a great hunting and family companion!

Debra,

Here is our loved Zues, an obedience student at Hightest in 2001, doing what he does best, unless you say the words walk, ride, garbage, toy, eat. Then is off and running. I can't thank you enough for the great training years ago. We had a full hip replacement on him done two summers ago after a family vote of no vacation cause we couldn't do both. He patiently lived in a cage for 6 weeks until he was all healed. Your training was invaluable during his recovery. In his lifetime, he has grown to know and love grandkids. This was a new experience for him, crawlers. What a great dog with toddlers. Thank you again. We recommend you often.

Good morning Hightest gang,

I thought I would give you an update on Marley. Marley is getting close to 3 years old now and is just an outstanding dog. He is close to 100 pounds of lean mean bird machine. This year he has retrieved around 50 Pheasants, many Hungarian Partridge and a handful of Quail. We are not Duck hunters but Marley loves the water.

Marley is a wonderful dog to hunt over, he has a great nose and hunts slow enough that I do not have to run to keep up with him. He is trained to whistle and hand commands and love to fetch the bumpers!

Thanks so much for breeding such a great dog, I could not be happier! I have attached a picture of us in the field before the end of another successful hunt.

Sincerely,
Steve J. McMullen

John & Debra,

I want tell you how much I appreciate the Hightest Training Grounds. The hard work you do to keep your facility in top condition and safe is exceptional. I train at other properties in Northern Calif. and yours is first class. I have been fortunate to have trained two dogs that have become field champions thanks to the use of your facility. One of those dogs I purchased as a pup from you and the other is her son. I was there this weekend and on the way home I decided I should let you know how much amateur trainers appreciate the grounds and your kennel facility.

Debra,

Here is a photo of Champ retrieving his 600th duck. It just happened to be the first one of the 2009 Season. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful companion and hunting partner. He is outstanding! Best wishes to you and your family during this Holiday Season.

WOW. What a pup. Me, my family, and the whole vet's office have fallen in live with "Tule." That little dude rocks. Our pup instantly comes to the whistle trill already, and retrieves little puppy bumpers constantly like a maniac. I'm completely satisfied and impressed with the service you folks provided on pick up day. Very professional, thorough, and enjoyable. Thank you for having such a fabulous line of healthy dogs available to the general public. Tule will spend his life training, hunting hard, and accomplishing the things you folks bred him for. On top of all that, he'll be treated like a world class athlete in a loving home.

Thanks again,

Good morning Hightest dogs & staff,

Tuff & Stix here: Life's tough in Cabo San Lucas, but they say someone got to do it! Enjoy some pictures of us enjoying the pool, golf course and a simple game of who's got the duck.

Tuff has taken to a new life from the kennel to complete freedom with early am Sea of Cortez beach time, to ball chasing, pool time, sun boy I'm having fun. Tuff has proven himself, met many new dogs, elk and people friends and a great addition to our family.

All the best for a happy holiday season.

Debra and all the Hightest staff

When we brought Charlie to you he was a one year old rescued stray that someone had neglected. Nothing had ever been done with this beautiful 105 pound black lab. He did not even know how to fetch. We enrolled him in your 6 week obedience course to quickly get Charlie some manners since a dog of his size without training could be a problem. The obedience training made a world of difference. Charlie is well behaved and is my son's favorite photography model. Your staff did wonders with Charlie and they even taught Charlie to do water retrieves. We were so surprised at Charlie's love for jumping into the water and realized we had to take him to Splashdogs. Attached is a picture of Charlie's perfect form on take off. Charlie only jumps about 13 feet but the crowd loves the big splash that he makes when he hits the water. Charlie was once a neglected dog, now Charlie flies.

Thanks

Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know how well Hope has adjusted to her new home. She has even begun to gain weight and is slightly spoiled by everyone she comes in contact with including her Vet. She has been a perfect addition to our family and responds to her commands by each family member perfectly. I can't believe how well she gets along with other dogs and could care less about the mail carrier, which could cause a problem in the city. She has developed her own personality and keeps everyone laughing. We are so happy to have Hope and we think she's pretty happy with her new home too. Once Hunting Season begins we hope to get some good photos to send you!

Thank you again,
Linda & Steve Freitas

Hello:
We came by for our three week obedience lesson with Whisky and were pleasantly surprised on her progress. My 4 year old Dakota loved working with Megan and has not stopped talking about her, especially since they share the same middle name. I did not know that I would be this pleased with the training. It is like night and day. I look forward to picking her up on the 26th.

Sincerely JJ
