Dear Hightest,
I just wanted to send you a thank you letter for our dog Cash. We just recently picked him up from Gun Dog training and he is awesome. We can bring him in the house and he lays down on his bed and the kids crawl all over him, ride him like he is a horse and he just takes all the abuse. When my husband takes him out he does great in the field. Thanks for such a great dog! We also appreciated the excellent care both we and Cash received. I always love calling you guys and having Amber answer the phone. She knew who I was and my dogs names and was very helpful arranging training sessions and vacation schedules for our dogs. A big thanks to Ole for our dog learning so much. We were unsure at first if our dog was going to be able to be a gun dog. He pulled it off. Thanks for all the other folks that I did not mention but did a great job working with Cash.
With Love,
Travis, Amanda, Allie and Brayden Bess

Hightest,
I took this picture of Bodie with Jessie after their walk this morning. We are so happy with Bodie, he has brought a lot of sunshine to our family. Just wanted to say thank you again and show you a pic now that he is a little older.

Hi Debra,
Melissa and I would like to thank you and your great staff for the wonderful training job you did with our St. Bernard called Max. He was out of control prior to us bringing him to your wonderful facility and you sent him back a well behaved gentleman. We continue to bring him to you for boarding and he appears to enjoy his stay. Thank you again for a great job.

Hi –
Here is a picture of our Maddy from Georgia and Beau. I wanted to send a picture and tell you that I think she is the most amazing puppy I have ever owned. I have had some wonderful dogs in my life and one dog a couple dogs ago that I thought would be the best dog I would ever have. But, Maddy is something really special. She is very smart and even from the day we brought her home she “got” the whole housebreaking thing. She is also so motivated to learn and please. Not only is she smart but everyone who sees her can’t stop exclaiming over her coloring and her beautiful eyes. Of course, her gigantic paws also get a lot of comments! Our vet said he doesn’t think he has ever seen bigger paws on a lab puppy…But, on top of it all, she is easily the most loving and cuddly lab I have had. She is happiest on a lap and can’t wait to go to bed every night (she gets to sleep on our bed with us). The kids argue over whose lap she is going to sleep on but I told them not to worry – in a few more weeks she will be able to fit on all 3 of their laps at once. And, if that doesn’t settle it we may have to get another puppy from you. Anyway, I wanted you to know that she is doing great, we couldn’t be happier with her, and we love her so much!
Thanks!

Hi My Hightest Friends,
I wanted to share the news that Benelli passed his first two legs for his Junior Hunter Title this weekend in Glide Oregon. The judges were very complimentary of the training he has received for both land and water retrieves and the way he behaves. Two down, Two to go!
His performance this weekend is a direct result of the skills he learned at Hightest under the guiding hands of Ole and Andrew. He just keeps getting better and better.
Thanks again guys!

Just thought you might like to see that all the training that Hightest
did with CAMO paid off! He is really a GREAT DOG!
Thanks for giving my dog the training that changed both of our lives.

Hi Debra,
Mike and I simply wanted to share a couple of great shots of Drake and Woody doing what they love, retrieving their bumper in the ocean, when they are not at Hightest! It’s pure brotherly love.
I’ll be giving you a call to schedule boarding for the boys soon as I have a few out of state trips/vacations coming up late this month and early August.
Hope all is well.
Thanks so much,

Hi Debra,
Just want to say how pleased we were by the litter we had in January
sired by Beau. These pups are awesome and beautiful! Great retrieving
desire from the start and I couldn't ask for better temperaments. Each
one is friendly, outgoing and amazingly calm for puppies. We are
keeping a female for a hunt test prospect that we think will do nicely.
Thank you for all your help past and present! Your entire crew at
Hightest are so great to work with I appreciate the assistance.
Regards,

One of the most famous labs to come out of Hightest Retrievers was Hightest Hailey's Comet, Hailey for short. She was Billy
Gianquintos' CO-STAR on the TV show Ducks with Billy and Buck. They
called her Buck on TV. It ran for 2 years on OLN TV, now VERSES.
She was also THE STAR for the episode "Cans in San Francisco Bay" on Engel's Outdoor Experience with Jeff Engel. Her episodes found her hunting
ducks and geese on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, to diver ducks on the
shores of the San Francisco Bay. She lived to be 10 years old before I lost
her to cancer. She was the best trained dog I've EVER OWNED! Thank you John
and Debra for handing over a dog that shined your training skills every
week! She was a ONCE in a LIFETIME dog. I miss you my dear Hailey Girl.

Hello Debra and John,
I just wanted to send best wishes and a big “Thank You” once again for Lucy! We just finished our 5th season of duck hunting together and all I can say is “It only gets better each year.” I purchased Lucy as a finished dog from you in 2005 when she was about 17 months old. She never missed a beat from the get go and each year she has consistently gotten better. This year I loaned her out to a couple of members in my club when I was shooting with another member and their dog and each time I was told what an excellent dog she was in both retrieving ability and personality!
She just turned six last week even though she was born on February 29th. I wish I could either turn the clock back or freeze her during the off-season so that she will always be my hunting partner. What a great dog that only gets better each year. Double and triple retrieves (all long) are the norm for her, as well as diving under the water for birds. She lays down low in the blind and is very quiet, but very observant at the same time. Hunting alone is never a problem. By facing her I know she’s “got my back”. Thanks again for giving me a fabulous friend and hunting partner!
All the best,
John Drury

This is Kenai, my 3 year old Hightest Pup. She was sired by Orvis and is a spitting image of him. She weighs about 85 lbs and loves to give kisses. This day she retrieved 28 ducks and 6 specks with no losses. All she wants to do is retrieve and sleep. She is the best dog I have ever had!

Thanks again for your excellent breeding program at Hightest. Tule (Visa's pup born oct 17, 09) is doing great at 18 weeks. He's got his retrieving, whistle commands, and simple hands signals down already. He understands how to tear up my wife's landscape plants, and has learned who the real boss of the house is. I'm excited about getting him on more live birds and into water retrieves as the weather warms up. I'm sure he'll do well.
Good luck, and keep up the good work.

Hello Debra,
I would like to share with you and how great your dogs are. Cody is now 8 1/2 years old and still loves to hunt. He is like a pup when he gets to hunt! He has been called "the fastest and strongest dog on the water" by fellow hunters. He not only is a great duck hunter, but he also loves to pheasant hunt as well. He has the best nose and he rarely, if ever, loses a bird! We love him very much, and he is such a part of our family. We have a deposit on another pup coming up in February and can't wait for that new member to our home!
Thanks for a great hunting and family companion!

Debra,
Here is our loved Zues, an obedience student at Hightest in 2001, doing
what he does best, unless you say the words walk, ride, garbage, toy,
eat. Then is off and running.
I can't thank you enough for the great training years ago. We had a
full hip replacement on him done two summers ago after a family vote of
no vacation cause we couldn't do both. He patiently lived in a cage for
6 weeks until he was all healed. Your training was invaluable during
his recovery.
In his lifetime, he has grown to know and love grandkids. This was a
new experience for him, crawlers. What a great dog with toddlers.
Thank you again. We recommend you often.
